New York Native, New Orleans raised.  After High School, I went to the Air Force during Desert Storm.  My tour lasted 2 years.  I returned to my beautiful New Orleans to pursue my career in Dental Hygiene.  After deciding that that was not creative enough for me, I changed my career for the first time, by following in my Mother’s footsteps, with Jewels by Park Lane.  Quickly becoming a manager and trainer, found that offering a better life for women in the area was very rewarding.  In 2008, Being married with 2 small children, I needed to simplify my life, I decided to get Permanent Makeup.  I did much research and decided on the “Hand-Method”.  Softer, less evasive, and easy to maintain.  While I was being permanently beautified, I decided to look into sharing this with other women. I went to my first courses in the field.  After 3 years, I am now a Certified Softap Instructor, making women permanently beautiful and also being able to offer them a way to make money with a career in Permanent Makeup, has enhanced my life to the fullest. Executive Committee in every position including Medical Staff President – 1993-1994

Currently affiliated with East Jefferson General Hospital – 1992 – present

Lauren Hunter – Estetician/Laser Technician

Lauren Hunter has been a licensed Esthetician since October 2011 and has been part of the Softouch family since February 2012. Lauren has always been interested in making people feel and look beautiful, which makes her a natural in the industry. She provides her clients with specialized services such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, waxing, sudatonic weight-loss, tattoo removal and spider vein removal. She also specializes in cosmetic makeup for weddings and special events. Being young in her career, Lauren is very energetic and dedicated to helping improve your appearance and esthetic experience.

Devenia Brathwaite

Originally from New York City, Devenia Brathwaite relocated to New Orleans at the age of 17 after receiving an academic scholarship to Loyola University. Determined to provide a guide line for her siblings she graduated at the top of her class in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as a Bachelor of Business degree in Marketing. Wanting to pursue a medical career Devenia enrolled in Delgado’s Charity School of Nursing where she became a L.P.N. in 2011. In May 2013 she will graduate as a Registered Nurse from Delgado’s Charity School of Nursing. Devenia is a determined individual who strives for excellence in everything she does. She has been in customer service for 13 years and believes that you must give the best to receive the best and lives by that motto. Her need for perfection goes far beyond her education it also plays a big part in her personal as well as business life. Upon her graduation in May Devenia plans on continuing her studies and pursuing a PhD at Tulane University Medical School for Cosmetic Dermatology.
