What are the coloring agents used in permanent makeup?

We use safe, coloring pigments approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. These have been gamma irradiated that eliminates germ contamination. They’re inert in nature and don’t interfere with the body’s chemistry. Some permanent makeup artists use other pigments containing iron oxide which fade quickly to an “orangy” color. These can cause skin irritation when undergoing a MRI exam and distort the image. Our pigments stay true to color, fading gradually to a lighter shade.
